On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, a clerical error was made by Shazam, a nation-wide ACH processor, causing inaccurate automatic deposits and withdrawals to over 1,000 bank accounts. This error impacted multiple financial institutions, including Peoples Bank. We are aware of the error and we are working with Shazam to resolve it right away. If you notice a deposit that you are not expecting, do not spend the funds. Shazam expects to resolve transaction issues by the end of business today.
